EYFS 2025 Paediatric First Aid Requirements for Schools and Nurseries. Date: 14 October 2025.
EYFS 2025 Updates: Paediatric First Aid Requirements for all schools and nurseries have been adapted by the Department for education (DfE). This article will give you information on those adaptions and information on how Paradigm First Aid can support your setting as a Regulated provider.
The Department for Education (DfE) has introduced updated EYFS standards from September 2025, requiring that a Paediatric First Aid qualified staff member is present whenever food is being consumed in early years settings. This is a critical measure to ensure child safety and compliance.
Paradigm First Aid Training provides 2-day Accredited and Regulated Paediatric First Aid courses, recognised by OfQual, designed specifically for nurseries and schools. Our courses cover:
-
Choking, burns, and allergic reactions
-
CPR for infants and children
-
Practical emergency response in early years environments including AED use
The EYFS encourages settings to work with regulated providers like Paradigm First Aid Training to ensure training is recognised and fully compliant. With flexible, on-site delivery across Liverpool, Preston, Southport, and Cumbria, we make it simple for your staff to meet the new standards.
